Trainee Instructional Designer (Bristol/Gloucester)location Bristol/Gloucesterjob area Content posted on 28/11/2006 Trainee Instructional Designer Content Master requires an trainee instructional designer to join the non-technical instructional design team. Content Master provides highly technical, computer related instructional content for customers, such as Microsoft and is a Microsoft Gold Partner. The instructional content is both designed and written by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This role will be based in our main UK office just North of Bristol so applicants need to live in commutable distance and have their own transport. The main tasks are: To provide a design review service that ensures all learning products are designed to customer requirements. To ensure that quality standards (design and customer style) are applied to all design documents (content design specifications). To cascade relevant information to the instructional design team and other relevant members of the company. The applicants will: Be a pro-active, self-starter who is able to work effectively as part of a team. Be educated to degree standard (an ID related discipline would be an advantage) Be a competent multi-tasker and able to work under pressure. Have a passion for detail and quality assurance. Be able to apply principles of information design to a variety of learning products. Have relatively advanced skills with Word and PowerPoint. Be able to learn quickly how to use new tools for working with customer content. It would be an advantage (but not essential) if applicants had experience: Using Microsoft e-learning tools, such as Course Builder. Using HTML at a basic level. Using XML tagging in Word.
