There will be a lot of content to manage and update on a daily basis, so will need people familiar with web 2.0 technology and with IT and web-editing skills. The webmaster role will involve a large amount of content generation, particularly in the initial stages, and on this particular site there will be thousands of jobs featured. The need for assiduousness of webmasters in providing clear,accurate and up-to-date user-friendly content cannot be over-emphasised. The work in the initial stages will involve not only searching on Google, but you will be expected to glean the full range of job descriptions from all available resources, including careers advice centres, local authority libraries etc. to ensure accuracy, and in the most comprehensive and time-efficient way possible. Once obtained, that information is to be inputted into an Excel spreadsheet so that the information can be imported easily into the database, and easily updated whenever necessary. The tone and detail will need to be consistent across all jobs as much as possible. Have a look at existing job sites to obtain a general indication of how many jobs will need sourcing information. The goal is to provide the most comprehensive database of job and career information available online! The post is UK-based, initially in London and the Home Counties. What are required are personable people who are not just IT-literate but highly-motivated and in possession of demonstrably impeccable English and grammar as well as excellent time-management skills.
