Term of Employment Full time, with 3 month probationary period, then 2 months notice
Salary £20,000 p.a. + bonus scheme after 4-6 months ( ie could earn up to 40-50K gross)
Proposed Start date ASAP.
Holiday 20 days a year +statutory bank holidays.
Working hours 9.00 – 5.30 (with 1 hour for lunch), Mon to Fri.
Sick Pay 10 days a year at full sick pay
DUTIES & JOB DESCRIPTION
Managing Web Projects
Planning, quoting and project managing a small portfolio of clients, mainly web sites.
Daily duties will include designing web systems (system architecture), quoting clients, reviewing and monitoring project progress with constant contact with our development team and clients.
The job will entail some visiting of clients at their premises on occasions. London and South East of UK.
Will be working fully supervised on projects at first. Will very soon be taking on whole projects to manage and gain valuable client contact experience.
Experience Required
Must have produced (or managed production) at least 15-20 web sites, (will need to supply some addresses of examples before interview stage) with some sites containing some sort of basic middleware scripting (PHP, ASP etc) in parts, i.e. experience of dynamic, database driven pages.
Will have a reasonable working knowledge of HTML and very PC literate and a keen interest in the Internet and new technology. The job will not entail any actual coding.
Basic knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver and flash 5+, and a graphics package (e.g. Photoshop or Fireworks)
Will also have past experience and some knowledge of database architectures (e.g MS Access, or MYSQL, Oracle, or MSSQL), and some past experience in either ASP, ASP.NET or PHP.
Will obviously be very familiar with Windows and PC’s.
PERSONAL PROFILE
Flexible, hard working, very organised with ability to manage time, staff and projects very effectively. Will need to respond to new challenges and work as a team member. Will have to be able to get to South East Bedford every day.
Full driving licence will be required, for client visits. Own car will be an advantage.
