IT Trainer (Ashford)location Ashfordjob area Management posted on 18/7/2007 IT TRAINER A competent, ideally TAP accredited IT Trainer required for a 14.5 month contract based in Ashford, Middlesex starting 16th July 2007 to deliver training, both scheduled and bespoke on desktop and bespoke applications, to the required industry standards. All jobholders will be required to have, or be willing to obtain, an industry standard training accreditation (currently T.A.P.). We are a leading healthcare brand name with offices throughout the UK, the IT Trainer will be responsible for, 1. The Creation and ongoing maintenance of IT course materials as required, and for the evaluation and selection of purchased course materials. 2. Deliver training, both scheduled and bespoke, to the required industry standards in various locations across UK. 3. Responsible for project managing and delivering the IT Training aspects of Business and IS initiatives, including accountability for the budget 4. Carry out, and make recommendations based on, both Training Needs and Gap Analyses. 5. Provide both 1st and 2nd line support to application users as required. 6. Responsible for the system training environments, ensuring equipment and software are maintained to the required standards and meet all necessary security and safety requirements. 7. Carry out a programme of continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that all activities undertaken meet the required quality standards and provide a justified return ion investment The essential skill set of the person we are looking for will include, Ms Office 97/XP – Advanced Level MS Project 98, MS Access 97/XP, MS Visio – Intermediate Level Instructional Design and Train-the-trainer – Intermediate TAP accreditation – Current The right person will have business awareness of the balance between customer service, delivery and operational costs, a professional manner in the way they act and communicate, be a good listener with excellent questioning skills to extract the right information and understand the training needs of personnel Team working; work cooperatively within your team and across teams, communicating clearly with Focus on delivery; can-do attitude, resilience and tenacity to keep going when things get tough are all desirable The salary for this role will be in £30-35K pro-rata + Benefits We are no longer accepting applications for this job.
