For more information, visit our (admittedly out of date) website (we're very busy!!!), http://www.richardquickdesign.com We're looking for a web design all rounder, with superb client-side development skills. We need: - Photoshop - xhtml - css - some accessibility We'd like: - Somebody who's passionate about Web Standards - Javascript / DOM scripting - PHP / MySQL (or other server-side languages) - Very good knowledge of accessibility - Anything else technical Or - Web graphic design skills using Photoshop / Illustrator - Some print design experience (Quark / Indesign) - Copy writing experience - Anything else creative What the job involves ------------------ At the moment, we work on a distributed office model - which is a posh way of saying our team all work from home. In the near future we would be getting offices in Newquay or Truro. When this happens, you can continue working from home if it suits you, but we'd like you in the office at least 1 day a week and be able to attened meetings. Therefore, it's important you're based in Cornwall or Devon. Our clients range from small local companies to corporate clients in London, so the work will be varied and hopefully interesting. We're passionate about what we do - but we also have lives outside the office and expect you probably want one too. Location: For this role, it's important you're based in Cornwall or Devon. However, if you're not based locally we still want to hear from you, as we always are on the look out for good freelancers. Experience: Yes please. We want somebody experienced, but we're not going to rule out exceptional candidates who can demonstrate they're up to the job even if they've only been working in the industry for a short period. Role Initially this a freelance contract role. However, we will be looking to make this a permanent salaried role at some stage. Qualifications: If you've got them, great. If not, that's not an issue. Pay: Being based in Cornwall, money's always an issue, so we can't afford to pay London rates, however, we do aim to pay significantly more than our local competitors as we want you to be happy.
