Web Developer - ColdFusion, PHP (Glasgow)

Permanent contract - Full time.
You will enjoy eating code for breakfast, lunch and dinner, be passionate about programming & the Internet and not scared of putting in the extra hours where required.
Basic skills required;
* ColdFusion (from version 4 to 6MX+)
* Excellent understanding of xml, xhtml, html, xsl, xslt
* Javascript
* mySQL
* PHP
Any candidates with the following skills would be very welcome;
* Experience of developing for the Joomla content management system.
* Skills in any of the following: Java, MS SQL, ASP.NET, CSS, Flash and Windows2003/Linux server management.
Other skills of use;
* Understanding of DNS servers, IP routing, Server hardware/software, networking/OS, windows NT, IIS, networking principles, PC hardware.
Candidate needs excellent communication skills. Some understanding of O-O development principles would also help.
We do not expect you to have years of development experience. At the same time, we expect a little more than just basic HTML skills and the web site you developed whilst at university. You must be able to learn fast and quickly fill any skills gap.
Responsibilities
You will be working with our designers, other developers and the project manager to produce new solutions using our ColdFusion cms and the PHP based Joomla! cms whilst also supporting a wide variety of other legacy projects - mostly in ColdFusion (4 to 6). You must be able to develop technical solutions quickly & efficiently within agreed deadlines and budgets.
You could also be called on to;
* Perform systems analysis and prepare system specifications.
* Support and competently answer technical questions relating to the company’s services and systems.
* Produce technical support documentation as and when required.
* Train clients and offer ongoing support where this has been agreed.
* To represent our company in a professional manner at all times.
