3rd Eye Vision (3ev) was formed in London in 1998 and has grown into an internationally respected web and application development company whose services include design, consultancy, development and training.

3ev are looking for a lead developer with 5-7 years experience to head our small, friendly team in Brighton. Reporting to the Technical Director key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of developers
- Technical lead on all projects from inception to delivery, designing solutions and technical planning
- Assisting the project manager throughout the project, being a technical liaison with clients where required
- Ensuring high quality
- Deployment and infrastructure management
- Bringing in new technologies to the company
The right candidate will be someone who can lead but also be one of the team. You will have excellent technical and non-technical communication skills and the ability to technical detail simply.
You will have hands-on experience in high-quality web development, server management and good taste in UX implementation. As well as our core technologies, the successful candidate will have a hunger for new and emerging technologies. We have recently worked in Facebook apps, GWT, AJAX, Rails and you would be expected to become part of this...
Other skills required:
- Html, CSS and other standard templating knowledge. Including validation
- Excellent knowledge and proven experience of PHP, OOP and software architecture
- TYPO3 and other CMS experience an advantage
- Code Management, subversion and build script experience
- Other languages - Java, Ruby etc - advantageous
- JavaScript, AJAX and Web 2.0 style programming
- LAMP administration
- SOAP experience advantageous
