Web Project Delivery Coordinator (Sheffield)location Sheffieldjob area Technical posted on 12/3/2008 About us: Jack Brand is expanding its digital studio in Sheffield and is looking for a project coordinator to manage the workflow. Jack Brand is a full service agency with a client list that includes Heineken and Haymarket Publishing amongst others. The Sheffield office, where you will be based, is totally focused on technical delivery of web based projects. All the developers live here! You’ll begin work with two developers and the team will be grown over the year to eight including you. About you: We expect that you have been a developer or tester in your previous life and would like to make the move to a project management role. You love writing documents, planning and scheduling, you’re detail orientated and focused on get the project finished to a super standard on-time! You can communicate clearly to a mixed technical and non-technical team, and have experience of the commercial marketplace. You occasionally deal with customers in a consultancy role and at pitch stage. You demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions and meet deadlines with a strong track record of success in your career to date. Of course you have excellent interpersonal skills, are incredibly well organised, have good planning skills, show enthusiasm for what we do, and be able to keep a cool head in a crisis! Responsibilities: Key roles You will be responsible for the delivery of the project You’ll Coordinate the studio and the rest of the Jack Brand team by phone, IM and in-person. Produce documentation Feature Specifications, Technical Specifications, Project Initiation Documentation and the like. Manage kick-off meetings and update members of the team on progress. You will report back to the client (in plain English) on the status quo. Determining deadlines and key deliverables, planning schedules and hitting delivery milestones. Implementing change control processes Help to act as buffer/aggregator for information that needs to get to the developers, manage their work load effectively. Creating and implementing functionality and usability testing scenarios thoroughly test and communicate amends to developers Some client facing activity To contribute to the development of new products and services through researching, unearthing and suggesting suitable technologies and practices. To contribute to the continuing growth of our business. Experience: Experience in a digital media environment managing projects and teams maybe useful but is not a prerequisite. More important is that you are detail orientated and can demonstrate a passion for delivering great products. The ability to drive development and keep the project on schedule and to budget is the key requirement.
