VBA time calculation function

calculate total hours worked by staff and then break hours down to total number of hours worked in a given shift. Deliverables:
The deliverable will be a function I can use in any query or report to give me the time breakdown results of the four shifts used. 7am - 6pm, 6pm - 10pm, 10pm - 12am, 12am - 7am.
Special Deadlines/Conditions:
As soon as possible. I already have a function which will give me total hours worked. it is found in one of the modules.
