Secure video/chat pages
posted on 22/10/2002We've a client that's asked us to set up an online secure 1-2-1 and 1-2-many cam/chat facility.
It's purpose is to conduct interviews remotely: the interviewer is to stay in control of the session (not like cam chatrooms - this is NOT for an adult site).
It's an add-on to an existing .asp site.
We require 2 pages:
Remote user page with cam image of interviewer, chat, and (optional) voice. User can only access page when permitted by interviewer. The user only has a standard browser (no downloads, please).
Control page for interviewer with chat and voice, and local recording facilities for both. We'll provide this page the IP address of the remote user.
On the interviewer's PC will be running a standard cam upload program to feed the image on the user's page: this need not be covered by your estimate.
Functionality only required: we'll do graphics etc.
Please provide an indication of how you will approach this and an estimate of timescales and costs.
