Entrepreneur with highly successful track record and very strong reputation/contacts/knowledge (specialist in hi tech, “old” economy sector) is seeking established web specialist(s). MUST HAVE very strong design, DATABASE PROGRAMMING and online publishing skills.
Prefer London-based, with demonstrated e-commerce experience and skills. The opportunity will only suit adventurous and really BRILLIANT people who have cut their teeth and can show complex working portals/ sites. I am looking for talent and time – not for money.
First objective
To develop a small, specialist global B-to-B site catering to the service information needs of a specialist client base. The market underlying the opportunity already exists. This venture simply aims to put that business on the net. A twenty page SOR has been prepared, giving the broad data structure, guidelines and routines.
Basis of venture
While cash payment is not ruled out, this new business venture is most likely suit people wanting to build an equity-like position in a unique, niche global market. My time and efforts are being contributed without charge – and you must be willing to work with me on the same basis (at least initially) to develop, and participate in the opportunity.
Upside
The initial opportunity is to create a captive service and information point meeting the real needs of a small and very clearly targeted group of players in a global industry. This is not a mass-market opportunity that will make anyone extremely rich very quickly. It is a genuine opportunity to try and create good and steady revenue streams for minimal outlay and small continuing maintenance effort.
The site structure suits a wide range of other opportunities. I have built one leading multi-million pound business already and I wouldn’t mind doing it again.
Downside
Like any Internet idea, there is no guarantee that this concept will embed successfully with the target market. The only true test is to launch it. But the relatively small size of the market – and the easy identification of customers - means that advertising and promotion can be efficiently and cheaply conducted.
On a worst case basis, via this project, the people selected gets a great opportunity to showcase talents to leading global companies.
