Artist website in flash
posted on 29/8/2003Ok, I am looking for someone who can make a really special flash site that really stands out. I need it to be of exceptional quality, a real talking point. Your design skills, composition, illustration and innovative nature are a must.
No cheesy long intros, you get the job if your design skills are fresh and unique. This is a highly creative project and I hope that the successful candidate will help me make my ideas a reality, I am a real pain in the a*se for details.
I am one of Europe's biggest visual artists, I made my website myself before, but I am launching a new site. As my reputation is growing I really need the right front for my organization.
I want to be able to upload images of my work via the browser or ftp, I want the site to then thumbnail those images, so that visitors can click to make bigger.
I would like (if possible) and I don't know how easy it is to integrate an html form with flash but - to use paypal shopping cart so that available work can be purchased this way.
I would like the following sections on the site:
About me
Gallery:
Small work
- available
- sold
Large work
- sold
-available
Links
Join my mailing list
Contact (via a form)
(If I can move the images from available to sold folders and then add the details and price via browser or ftp that would be awesome)
The transitions between these sections need to look great.

Inspiration: designers republic, jotto, 80s horror movies, graffiti, sub culture, street. Look at Julian Opie. Edgy is better than cute... but playful is good. See how www.massiveattack.com changes every now and then - I like that.
Budget: Not a problem, if you can do it well, the cash is there! You just need to prove yourself! Budget is set by how innovative and effective your ideas are.
