Tennis Entry Forms Website

posted on 19/2/2004

Website, preferably written in VB.NET with SQL Server. I may consider ASP over .NET, but it will take some persuading!

To provide the means for tennis players to enter tournaments.
The website consists of two user-groups; Players and Organisers.

Players
Players visit the website to find relevant events open to them.
For example, they may search by age-group (e.g junior events) or region (e.g. South UK)
They can then enter the tournament and pay online.
Players can also store tournaments as favourites and receive details by email.
They can optionally receive notification by SMS of looming tournament closing dates.

Organisers
Organisers can add their tournaments within their own Administration area.
Once the closing date arrives for each Tournament, the organiser receives a copy of all the entrants details (in Excel, Access,
XML or csv file).
Organisations can optionally 'plug in' the service to their existing Website.

This is the basic idea, but it is a little more detailed than this.
As a seasoned Web Developer myself, I have already built the Database Schema and have a good idea how it will all look and work.
I can even supply a .NET Content Management Framework that you may decide to work from.
I am ideally looking for someone to work with on this; a very competent programmer, as well as someone who has imagination, commitment and is positive.
Ideally, you will be located in the Berkshire area, or not far away.

Please reply with:
* an idea of when you could start
* how long you think it will take you
* a 'general' idea of a total £ price
* your location
* urls of your work

I will then check every submission and reply to the best ten with further details.

Im very sorry, but automated and non-uk submissions will be discarded.

We are no longer accepting applications for this project.
