Java, MySQL, XML Football Gaming Site
posted on 18/3/2004We are a small web development house looking to build a football gaming site. This site will built around a live XML feed (provided by a third party) of leagues, teams, players and scorers in the English and Scottish divisions.
We need an additional freelance/contract programmer to join the team and help us spec out and then build the site using Java, Mysql, XML, Apache. The site back-end will need take the XML feed, extract and
store the relevant information into a MySQL database.
Users will then be able to register for an account and play a fantasy football league type game where they make predictions as to the results of future games and are awarded points according to the correctness of their predictions.
We need a freelance/contract programmer who is based in London (or at least close enough to come into our office when necesarry).You should have at least 3 years experience in building Java/MySQL/XML websites.
