Contract - Web Developer - ASP, VB, COM, SQL Server
posted on 17/6/2004Winona eSolutions has an immediate vacancy for an experienced developer to join them in their central London base (Camden). This is initially a short term contract for 1 week.
The Developer must have solid work experience in delivering one or both of the following:
- Barcode generation, printing, scanning, reading and matching with records in SQL Server. The hardware used is:
Hardware: Metrologic MS 951 KB WEDGE barcode scanner 5V
Manual - see http://www.europe.metrologic.com/europe/download/user_guides/iu951.pdf Pages 8,9 and 13 show the one we use, with the keyboard wedge.
- Efficient keyword searching. This would include re-design of the current DB if necessary, retrieving keywords from description and ability to do a fast keyword search.
Both of the above must be integrated with an ASP application.
You will be experienced in designing database schemas, and writing scripts for efficiently searching, reviewing and updating data. You should have experience with large databases.
