game control panel
posted on 14/7/2004i need a web based admin and user interface to control various games on a linux server.
1) Admin panel: this should be able to control more than one server.
It must contain the ability to start, stop, restart various games. The abilty to choose a list of games to play. The abilty to add new clients and then have it create all the various folders and files needed to run the games. The ability to e-mail clients all the relevant info once the game server has been set up. Automatically send clients warning e-mail once there contract is near end. Integration with paypal and merchant accounts. Ability to edit game files and generate them text fields and drop down menus (these are just text files).
2) User panel: The ability to start, stop and restart games. Choose from a list of games (they should only see games allowed by admin) edit games files using text fields etc (again only allowed to edit certain files and fields allowed by admin) Also be able view and change the user information, game passwords etc.
I would also like the whole designed so it can be easily changed visually. Some kind of template system would be nice. I would also like it to have an install system so its easy to set up on various machines. As i said before i would like it so i only need 1 admin to control many servers, or have a master admin which can get info from all servers, which ever you think is best.
I will listen to any suggestions you have. But im NOT looking to read your cv from the last 5 years. I need a rough guide on price and timescale.
You may also be called upon in the future to update (there is always new games released) and create mods.
