Extranet web/graphic designer - London

posted on 24/1/2005

We have a requirement for an experienced corporate extranet web designer to undertake design of a new extranet. This is a totally new project, so is an exciting chance to direct the project from the start.

Successful candidates will have :

- ability to work from our offices in Farringdon, Central London (home working will be possible after an initial period for qualified applicants)
- demonstrable web design skills in a corporate setting (a portfolio of at least 3 similar CORPORATE projects is mandatory)
- at least 2 years of (X)HTML and CSS skills. Any JavaScript is a bonus.
- ability to hand code pages and stylsheets
- ability to work quickly and accurately, sometimes under pressure
- familiarity with web usability and Disability Discrimination Act issues
- own tools (eg DreamWeaver, HomeSite etc)
- familiarity with JSP (java) web-based GUIs an advantage
- professional, hard-working approach to work

The project is due to kick-off in February and will last for a 8-12 weeks in the first instance. There will be some flexibility in ability to home-work and fit this project around any other/existing commitments.

Rates : £Market, dependent on experience - preference given to candidates willing to consider temp-to-perm after 3 months

Closing date : 7 February 2005

Many thanks!
