Website build, HTML, javascript, XML, XSLTposted on 21/9/2006Designs already produced, this project is for development only. This website will sell event tickets as an affiliate (reseller) of an existing partner website which sells tickets. Time estimate 4 weeks. Some of the work is highly skilled, some of it very standard. So might best suit a highly skilled developer who likes to take it easy sometimes, or a small team who can split the workload. This new site needs to be built in HTML and Javascript, for various fairly complex mouse-over responses. eg when the mouse moves over a calendar entry then various ticket information is automatically displayed elsewhere on the page. The first two pages of the site are unusually complex in this sense, but the other 7 pages are very simple HTML (just standard booking pages). Then the site must be intgrated with the back end of the partner website. This is totally XML and XSLT based + webservices for availability information. The new site will store some additional data which must be updatable via an extremely basic content manager (can use html switches etc) and so a database of some kind will be needed. *Maybe* ASP.net will be the best overall approach. Summary of requirements: 1. Build pages of HTML based on supplied designs to a pixel perfect standard (if you don't know what this means then don't apply). Page designs are 1024x768 and hence don't need to be stretched or shrunk by browsers (we have decided not to cater to 800x600). 2. Java contained within HTML to perform complex display reponses to mouse over. 3. Integration with partner site using XML (via Microsoft Document Object Model) XSLT and webservices. Overall this project contains some very challenging components, but the rest is very standard. I am experienced in reviewing build quality, and the designs for this project are of the very highest standard. The choice of developer will therefore be based on portfolio of work demonstrating capability in all the above outlined areas. All the best, Rich We are no longer accepting applications for this project. |
