Mobile Java

• Knowledge of different mobile JVM implementation.
• Knowledge of internet transport method as applied to mobile (GPRS, 3G, HPDSA) – global knowledge valued e.g. what is standard / available in Europe / America / Asia.
• Remote database access over internet from within the Java app.
• Familiarity with different handsets available, new developments in handset and mobile technology.
• Knowledge of web servers as relates to Java (e.g. Tomcat, Jakata etc).
• Knowledge of issues relating to performance both in terms of the handset and web server.
Summary of the task
To develop a prototype java application that will run on mobile telephones.
This application will need to access data on the internet and be able to download and run files. Additionally knowledge of streaming technology will be required.
Further details will be supplied on agreement to an NDA.

This is an international project with different parts of our organisation based in UK, Finland, Canada and India. We use English as standard in all communication but we welcome quotes / contact from ALL locations and nationalities.
