ActiveX Image Upload Control
posted on 24/2/2007We are looking for somebody capable of programming an ActiveX control to upload images to a website.
Our current problem is that users are uploading multiple images from digital cameras, all around 2 Mb in size, which we then reduce to a few hundred pixels for website display. With numerous images to upload, this process takes ages for the user.
What we'd therefore like is an ActiveX control which would allow the user to select their images, reduce the images at browser-side to the smaller resolution, then upload these reduced images, hence vastly reducing the upload time.
We would need to be able to pass parameters to the ActiveX control, ie the number of image uploads allowed, and the size to reduce to prior to uploading.
Please give details of your rates and also of previous experience.
