Web Designer

Bess Technology is a young company producing internet software. The project requires a web designer to help complete the presentation layer to a new web site featuring social networking tools, search, advertising and multimedia. Initial engagement will be for 2 weeks at £275 per day (negotiable), starting 3 September. Will require the candidate to creatively take business requirements from concept to asset design.
The position requires excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Flash, CSS, HTML/xHTML content generation, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, video/audio streaming. You will also need excellent graphics design skills and portfolio of previous high-quality projects. Areas of interests should include Web 2.0 tools and creative graphics design for social networking applications, as well as an interest in working with Silverlight and Microsoft Expression (Web and Blend).
Working closely with a team of 4 developers based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The candidate will have the choice of working at the Basingstoke office, or from home (with the understanding that travel for meetings twice a week will be required).
Candidates will have a minimum of 2-3 years commercial experience, and the ability to work under pressure to exact deadlines. The right candidate will be proactive, a good team player with strong communications skills.
