Write a course on IT contracting

posted on 30/11/2007

Become an IT Consultant Course

Objective

We need 11 modules for a home-study course on becoming an IT consultant. We propose to have different writers for the different modules.

Target market

People who want to start their own business as an IT consultant.

Students will study the course material at home, and will mail or email their assignments to one of our tutors.

Most students live in the UK. Others live in the USA and elsewhere. So we need a fairly generic course.

Length and structure

We need 11 modules on the subjects listed at the end of this brief. Each module will be at least 3,000 words in length.

Each module should contain at least three self-assessment exercises. You should supply the answers to the questions, where appropriate.

Each module should also contain a tutor-marked assignment. The assignment should not consist of single-word answers. In other words, it should include short essay questions.

There will NOT be a final exam. Students are assessed on their assignments.

To re-cap, the modules need:

- Overview of the module
- Instructional text
- Self-assessment exercises
- Summary
- Tutor-marked assignment

We will give the chosen writer access to our house style guide.

Course outcome

On completing the course, the reader should be able to effectively set up their own business as an IT consultant.

Experience and qualifications

You should have in-depth knowledge of IT. Writing and/or IT experience would be a benefit.

Payment

We will pay 50% in advance, and the balance on satisfactory delivery.

Response required

We need you to tell us which of the modules below you would like to write, and at what price. Tell us how you will tackle the subject and what experience you have in the field.

We'd also like to see samples of your work.

Please don’t paste standard comments. We'll ignore any non-specific responses.

Plagiarism

We will test the work rigorously for plagiarism. Any plagiarism found will be reported to the original author and to the website on which you found the work. We will also require a complete refund of all payment for any modules in which plagiarism is found.
