VB6, PHP, MSSQL, C#, ASP.NET

Hi
I'm a freelancer looking for a freelancer to work for up to 2 of my clients. Preferably from the Midlands (but not essential) and be prepared to occasionally travel - sometimes at your own expense - but not always!
Client 1: Is a VB6 application using SQL Server 2005 and have a PHP/MySQL website. The business is very complex, so some of the code can be really mind boggling! There is ongoing and regular work for this client maintaining and developing the application and website. You must have good experience of automating with Word and Excel as well as excellent VB6 , PHP, MySQL and SQL Server knowledge!
The work for this client is generally done on an hourly rate.
There is potential in the New Year for a substantial redevelopment of the application - probably into a C# windows application. I would like to involve the successful person in these meetings when they occur. It is therefore essential that you can communicate fluently and intelligently with a client.
Client 2: Is C# ASP.NET using SQL Server 2005 and again a reasonably complicated business. I have just completed phase 1 of the project and in the New Year they will be ready to start phase 2. This is to be spec’ed but is guaranteed work. A high level of C# and ASP.NET is essential!
The work for this client is generally done on a fixed price.

Please provide a reasonable example of why I should consider you, your hourly rate and examples of previous work if applicable.
I am looking at having a long term relationship the successful person – so please, only people who are in it for the long haul!
