Junior Developer
posted on 18/2/2008Our work includes websites, online shops, bespoke hosted applications and software development. We’ve already got a team that consists of seriously bright designers, technical guys and account handlers. Now, due to an expanding client database, we require a Junior Developer to add to the mix.
You’ll be a crucial cog in our team, helping out on projects, handling support queries and working across the full mix of work we do. You’ll report to the lead developers but will be responsible for producing and testing your own work. You should have a solid approach to testing and a good understanding of SQL and .NET.
This is a great role for somebody looking for their next career progression. You should already have 9-15months of commercial programming experience and be able to get stuck into projects. You’ll quickly move on up our development team so it’s an ideal role for a graduate with a sandwich degree or some solid work experience.
You will have an excellent eye for detail and have a strong work ethic and a passion to succeed.
What you’ll do
Your key tasks will include:
• Working with the Project Manager to accurately scope out projects and agree required timeframes for your tasks
• To deliver your technical work to the highest standard, fully checked and functioning before submitting for testing
• To go the ‘extra mile’ where required to see projects through to completion and help projects stay on schedule
Technical Proficiencies
• .NET (VB)
• SQL Server
• HTML
• Experience in eCommerce would be an advantage
