php & mysql - facebook-ish project

posted on 19/5/2008

Please read this and DON'T JUST SEND ME AN AUTOMATED REPLY.

I will be studying a post-graduate, and I am working on a thesis focussed around social media networks etc..

I plan to create an entirely new version of a social media network, but it will be different and new, and is more about a virtual portal rather than just a way to keep in contact with friends.

I'm a friend end designer/developer - so back end stuff like php and mysql databases needed to make an application like facebook is not possible for me.

I need someone to work alongside and help me with this. Preferably one good person as oppose to a company, as I cannot afford to pay that much because I am a student. However, if this becomes successful (which my lecturers suspect it will be) than I will split any profit with you.

So I need a good php developer who is able to create such a platform with all my designs and needs in mind. (I don't want someone to just copy an application and edit it to make it like what I want, I'm not stupid)

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you all.
