Web Developer - ASP.NET, C#, .NET 2.0, SQL

posted on 30/5/2008

Urgent requirement for a highly skilled and technical Web database developer. Key core skills required are ASP.NET, C#, .NET 2.0 and SQL. Other Web development skills (CSS etc) would be an advantage but not essential.

The piece of work is to develop an E-learning Website which will hold a mixture of rich and textual content. The end user is a large retailer and the audience is internal staff only. Content will include its internal training materials as well as news, RSS feeds etc. As such there are a large number of Legacy documents as well as new rich content to go into the site, with monthly growth anticipated on an ongoing basis as well as the need for archiving content. We therefore need someone who has experience in designing and building large-scale databases for this kind of Web application.

You MUST have done this kind of work before and done it alone or led a team, not been part of a team as you have to be able to deliver this piece of the work without technical support or guidance due to the lack of current technical skill within the clients staff.

You must be prepared to work with in-house staff as and when required and provide some level of technical handover in order that the client can support what is developed going forward.

Experience of load/performance testing (either hands on or planning and managing the process) would also be a distinct advantage.

You must be able to start work on Monday 9th June and therefore be available for interview at short notice. The work is to be undertaken in a maximum of 10 days and this to be done ideally over 2 weeks full time, or max 3 weeks working 3-4 days a week. Work must be completed by Friday 27th June and must be done on site in at the clients office in Oxfordshire.

The client is building up a good number of projects so for the right person we would anticipate the possibility of further work.

Please e-mail your CV in the first instance along with rate expectation and only apply if you are available for interview at short notice and can start work on Monday 9th June.

We are no longer accepting applications for this project.
