Database Driven Commerce Site
posted on 25/6/2008We would like interested parties to respond to our brief. This is in 2 parts. Part 2 is most urgent, but if you can develop and intergrate part 1 and 2, we would be interested in your proposal.
We are a dropshipping company, who sell memberships which give people the opportunity to access our product range at wholesale prices. Our members then sell the products through ebay and other channels, and once a sale is made, we ship the products to the buyer, and charge our member a wholesale price, and the member keeps the difference between this and the retail price as profit.
Part 1.
We require:
A dropshipping website which allows visitors to sign up to out program, and access and reserve stock which they can then sell on at profit.
Site Map (Public Area)
1.Home page advertising products and services.
2. About us page.
3. Contact us page
4. Help Page.
5. Member login facility
6. New member sign up facility.
7. Payment of membership fee facility using our existing google checkout account
Private Area
1. Products shown in categories
2. Product Detail
3. Product pricing
4. Facility for members to reserve items. These would then be added to a reserved folder for that member. The member only pays for this item once they have sold it. They should then be able to log in, click that product, make payment, and type the address that we are to ship it to.
5. A facility where we can add tracking numbers to a clients account to show items shipped.
6. A facilty to show a history and total of a clients sales, and a download facility.
7. An admin facility which allows us to add ammend, delete, mark products as out of stock, contact members and manage mailing lists.
Preferable in ASP.
Part 2.
A site that is available for members to purchase, which is pre populated with our products and linked to our product database, showing the same products as on our site.
The member should be able to ammend:
1.Company Logo
2. Style
3. Pricing on the site they are running.
4. remove products they dont want to sell.
5. Add content to pages such as about us, intro etc, and generally personalize.
Any product changes in price would only be effective on the members site, and images and product details would be fed from the main site (Part 1)
