Jave Project
posted on 29/7/2008Java programmer leaving for Australia, so unfinished data analysis and report project to do. He has left the following info, together with the referred to files:

TODO: Import text file into SQL Server using DTS 3. use Eclipse, JBoss, Drools and my attached Eclipse Workspace. There is enough here to get a Java program going - the innovative bit has been done, it's just labour left....

Required: Someone who can work with the above to produce a working fully installable passkey protected program with an attractive and easy to use UI, rather than someone who is going to start again from scratch because he doesn't have experience of the tools above - so you have to be able to demonstrate your experience. No time wasters please. I don't want to hear about problems - if they come up, solve them. There is about 20 - 25 hours work in this left, based on the original quote, and adding some hours to allow for familiarising yourself with what's been done already. I'm a bit flexible about this but although not a programmer I have experience of project management and know that it takes a competent and experienced programmer half as long to do twice as well as someone just a little less competent. I'm not as arrogant as the above might sound, by the way - I just want someone who really can do it rather than having to wade through a huge pile of applications from unsuitable people offering alternative ways to do the project. By the way, I don't want someone who is uncontactable during the day because you are in a different time zone. And finally, I want you to concentrate on this once you start it - not take months, working a few hours a week on it...
