I did wink after that gif for photos comment - and it was a *real* photo (a photo of a man in an orchard next to a tree). But we are talking about an author who had a 32k 12x12 single colour bullet!...

Thanks Dan, I use netscape at home but we are not allowed to load it here. Mainly as no one has web access except the IT dept but I believe when we all do get it we are going to be IE only for ease...

There just seemed alot of hype about PNG which seemed sensible, 24bit colour, Transparency, etc. etc. But nothing since seems to have been done about the format so images are still large, and browse...
