GIF's for photos? I can only think of one reason - when you want to animate
'em...

Subject: FN-FORUM html editors
yes I know we've killed this thread but I'd just like to quickly explain my
last set of comments.
1. I've worked in companies that use just FP (including where I'm working
now but I've lead them down the DW path).
2. no editors seem to make perfectly clean & lean code - only coding by hand
does that (and yes I started out using dos editor to design my pages in a
win 3.1x platform)
3. editors are a matter of personal opinion, but you have to adapt to what
your client is supplying you with (if you are working in-house) or what they
use and will be using to update the pages (if you are working off-site).
much as I love handcoding pages using notepad for the amount of pages I'm
editing on any given day (we're just about to start a total redesign of our
site and some poor sod (ME!) has to go thru the 4000 pages already on the
site and strip font tags and write css (for which I use notepad for) and get
them ready for HTML4.01 transitional)
Schaz - who is going back to cleaning FP code with a mixture of DW/HS &
Notepad and the joys of optimising images (could some1 answer me y ppl use
GIFs for photos!!!! ;o) )
