Actually, mate, I was trying hard not to be. I did say PLEASE and,
although you may not have understood, at the more sensitive moments
I was smiling! :)

The last part of my part of my message was meant, for the sake of
honesty, to be a "we've met before" thing combined with a gentle
prod to see if you'd changed your famous approach - a bit like your
supposed motive for approaching this list via your original wind-up...

You obviously knew what you were doing, as you copied my message in
your response. Personally I'm annoyed when I see off-list spats
brought on-list, but OTOH it's the first time I've been nominated the
subject of a thread on any list, so thanks for that, mate! ;)
