This is an open forum - anyone can post anything and it will get
through. There is no policy as such dictating what gets through to the
list and what doesn't.

Absolutely - my feeling is that no one (or two in this case) person
can make the call as to what is 'on topic' in a list of this nature.
The aim is to build a friendly community with a common thread.
I'm in favour of list members taking a self-moderating approach, and
sensible perspectives like Peter's help achieve this.
It goes without saying that anyone can mail myself or Andy Stowell if
they have a problem with someone/thing on the list, off list, and in
absolute confidence.
Anyway, thanks to all of you for a great first few weeks! This list
has gone far beyond our expectations in terms of knowledge, insight,
co-operation and friendliness. Pat yourselves on the back...
Hmmn, just thought of two policies...
1/ Include subject lines ;-)
2/ Now we have a digest, I reckon everyone on it would appreciate it
if quoting was kept to a minimum.
Cheers, and enjoy what's left of the weekend!
Dan.
