Unix is an operating system, which is very quick and stable (yes yes I am a
unix junkie). It is close enough to Linux (which its self is derived from
the Unix model) for people with Linux experiance to use Unix. Unix does not
nativly support the ASP, and VB/VBScript languages. They can be added by
third party software. You have to check what they offer you in the way of
CGI/Scripting support.

Unix is also a far more secure OS than either NT or Linux, and has a better
logging system (so logs for your site should also be supplied for analysis
but could be at an extra cost).
