I'd suggest getting the free 30 day download to see if it'd do what you
want - I'll agree the developer licence is a bit pricy but once you've used
it you'll see that most of your sites would be easier built this way!

Alternatively you could use the GDIdb 4.0 which is not as swish but comes in
at $38 for non commercial sites and $110 for commercial

Try www.greymatter.co.uk who sell it in GBP for their pricing - it's usually
more favourable.
