FN-FORUM Networking Macs and PCs

A couple of colleagues and I will shortly be moving into joint offices and
will be attempting to put out workstations on a network so we can dial out
on one line and also file share.
We will be connection 2 iMacs and two windows 98pcs to go out on to at least
an isdn line.
I (have been given the task of researching and probably building the network
up) and was wondering if anyone on this list had any knowledge of doing
cross platform networking - I am sure its not to difficult as I know Macs
network easy peasy and have seen them in league with windoze before. I have
seen PCs networked with no server but have never involved a shared outside
line before. Any ideas?
