Fan Disconnect
date posted 18th January 2001 12:42
I recently converted an old 486 to a three-NIC-plus-modem router (uses
FREESCO from earlier recommendation on here and works great).
Downside is the powerpack fan noise. Given the machine is mostly empty and
dong very little work I'm inclined to try disconnecting the fan to get rid
of the noise. Anyone ever tried this ? The fan in this case is solely on the
powerpack (the chip doesn't have/need one)
