javascript problem

I've got this code below where i'm using images instead of the standard html
form buttons, it basically enters the value into a text area which works
fine with the html buttons but when i click any using an image instead it
just refreshes the screen? i've tryed everything that i know but i cant do
it for the life of me!

I'm sure its something simple but I just cant figure it out, any help would
be great.
