Had a feeling that was an old debate. SO much vitriole.
And I knew the techie answer would be "we can't make it work without
re-coding it" :)
thanks for clearing that up then, some points make sense, although you
said...

i prefer to push limits rather than keep tidily inside them. Some people do
not have a computer but we're not gonna phone them up and read our emails
out to them are we? What if they don't have a phone? Or they're blind? Or
nocturnal?
Obviously this attitude comes from designing flash, i don't think you should
make your site HTML 2.0 compatible just because 3 users a year have got a
problem with comprehending the simplicity of the plugin...
