I think the simple answer for most practical purposes is probably "No".

A more complex answer would require a lot more detail on what they are
trying to achieve.

Then again M$ are trying very hard to make this sort of thing work, so they
would probably tell you "Yes, no problem". But they will not actually tell
you exactly how, of course.

Will the spreadsheet be too big to download, edit and upload then? Or do
they want concurrent editing?
