Difficult clients
date posted 24th January 2001 16:58
I have recently been contacted by someone who wants my services and I had
arranged to meet them this afternoon to discuss the project in more detail.
We arranged a time and a place but he never showed up. I've left a couple
of messages but I haven't had a call yet to explain his non-arrival.
I guess I wouldn't mind that much, but we've had about 3 conversations on
the phone and a dozen or so emails have passed between us laying out plans
etc so I kind of assumed he was serious and, he may still be.
My question is, I've got a bad vibe about this fella (for a number of
reasons - not just his no-show today) and I'm wondering if anyone else has
had a similar experience. Do you let business pass you by because you think
someone's a bit of a tosser or do you keep going for the sake of the
mortgage?
Thanks
