Mac Spellchecker

Firstly, apologies to Marion, I forgot to change the subject of my last
email... doh!
Secondly, I just checked the link I sent to the list, and it looks like
Newer Technology has folded, but not to dispair. The rights to Spelltools
have been moved to Craig Marciniak (http://www.marciniak.com/spelltools/
spelltools.html), and he also has released an update so it works a little
better with OS9.
Some more info (from the site) if you weren't convinced the first time round:
* It is an application, not a slow and/or conflicting system extension
* Accelerated for Power Macs
* Provides a more sophisticated set of spelling algorithms
* "Prooflistening" (text-to-speech) reads your text aloud
* "Rubber Text Stamps" (text macros) for virtually all applications
* "Line Normalization" fixes bad line wraps
* "Caret Stripping" (removes ">")
* "Find & Replace"
* "Word Counting"
* "Case Changing" converts selected text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title
Case, etc.
The caret stripping feature is a godsend, especially when you get sent
one of those jokes seventh hand through email with all the quoting marks
that you just have to pass onto everyone else.
