A few of our clients also requested a mechanism for updating the content on
their websites without requiring a knowledge of HTML. I have the following
links from our search for a solution:
http://www.arsdigita.com/
http://www.gauss.de/en/en.htm
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/tools/jw-tools-webauth.html
http://www.javacorporate.com/index.html

http://www.intranetsolutions.com/products/xpedio.html
http://www.sitegarden.com/site/

I'm not too sure how helpful these will be. The prices of the various
products ranged from 0 to a few hundred thousand pounds ! We ended up
writing systems - one in ASP and another in Perl to satisfy the
requirements. The content (text-only format) is stored in a database and
dynamically converted to HTML using CGI and templates. Server side includes
were also incorporated into one of the solutions. Interesting work.
Best of luck,
Paidi
