Hi David
I think that the limiting factor of DW wouldn't be the engine itself, but
rather how much effort it took to customise the front end to cope with all
the possibilities available within a large/complex site. I've been
intending to use the M$ Dynamic HTML Editing Component to give clients a
fully functional editor, but of course it relies on them using IE4+, the DW
solution is cross-browser (and as far as I can tell cross-platform).
On top of that it should be possible to customise the Ultra Dev engine
(which appears to basically be DW, they use the same XML files to control
menus etc), so that it could be possible for clients to rearrange even DB
genereated stuff (not that the code UD produces is very noteworthy).
Interesting stuff and I might have to have a further look at it today.
Norman
