Ah yes Peter, well I'd agree that everyone needs a PC ;-)
Ok, ok don't flame me. I worked on Macs for years and yeah they're nice, but
they're expensive and being a self-employed developer isn't always the road
paved with gold that we'd like to imagine it is.
You can't necessarily afford every toy you'd like to buy. Buying software
upgrades tends to come way higher up my wish list than buying a new Mac.
Give me two PCs instead of a Mac and a PC any day of the week. The PC user
interface has gone a long way in catching up with the Mac. When I started
out, working at a prepress bureau, Macs were light years ahead in terms of
usability - windows 3.1 just didn't compare - at all. But times have
changed.
