RE: FN-FORUM Database Opinion Question
date posted 1st March 2001 10:37
Well, I don't mind Database wars as long as Craig Charles does not insist on
presenting it. I would much prefer the blonde thing in the tight pants....
Anyway, sorry if I was slightly unclear, I never intended having the
database/web page show a blob, just a link to the picture along with some
standard text for the link, like "Click here to see piccy". I know that if
I had ever been considering of trying to display a pic for each record (of
which I am also only expecting pictures for about 10%) any programming
friend of mine would have taken me into a field and explained it in words of
3.57 calibre.
Ain't this fun !!! By the way, during the prototyping of the database (just
to prove structure etc) I did build the testbed with Access 2K

Subject: FN-FORUM Database Opinion Question
I am presently developing a database/website and I would appreciate peoples
opinion as to the best product to use for my requirements.
I will be looking at around 5,000-7,500 records including pictures and price
information. Total number of database tables is 6 and 5 of them are linked.
I would appreciate anyones opinion as to the best database/web solution for
this.
TIA
