Damian,
On-Line call manager. Every time you go on-line this comes on-line with
you. It is a free program and you get given a free mailbox for voice mail.
You are able to do a number of things:
1). When someone rings - it shows you the number of who is calling. You can
then store this number and put a name to it when you have finished the call.
This is very easy to do.
2). You have a choice of a) answering the call which will automatically take
you off-line and get the person ringing your now non-engaged number. They
will be told by a female voice that you wish to speak to them and they are
being transferred etc.
The next choice is that you are then able to divert the number to another
landline number chosen by yourself. The third being you can have the number
diverted to a mobile. Fourth and final option is that you are able to take
the call whilst you are on-line (if you have one of those call manager
headset things).
3). The system will tell you when you have voicemail. You have to pay to
retrieve your voice-mail.
Charges:
1) £1 extra per month on BT for call busy service
2) You pay premium rate to retrieve voicemail (not that bad cost wise)
3) Calls answered through the system are premium rate (25p/min I think).
It is the most useful thing I have ever used. People ring up on the same
line - I can see who it is and then answer it, leave it or divert it to
someone else who I think it may be most appropriate for. This is especially
good considering we have two locations. Diverting calls to somewhere else
when I know who the client is is a very good benefit.
The website to go to is: http://www.ocmuk.com
Sincerely,
Stephen Parker
