Access compared to sql server and oracle? Oracle is fine for the internet
but has lost its diversity and from what I last remember - is it not quite
expensive? In my experience SQL Server 7....

what im on about is when you change servers, the ip changes, this change
takes around 48 hours to propogate throughout the entire internet and in
those 48 hours the same site can be viewed at 2 diffe...

well for a couple of days you could have inconsistant data *that* is not a
good thing, unless you want recompense your client for any pricing errors
that may occur? ;) plus any olap/data warehousing...

I have used Netcetera (www.inetc.net) for NT hosting and they too are set up
with a dbs outside of the root web.
