Screen settings and web design

Hi designers

I was wondering if you all work to a min standard of screen res when
designing a site i.e 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. The reason for asking is a
site we have recently developed http://www.4carrental.co.uk we outsource all
our design and it has come to light that in 800 x 600 it will cut of the
navigation on left hand side.

I would like to know peoples feelings on this do you have min guidelines
etc. Obviously in this particular case we will have to fix the problem as
our customer has clients still using 800 x600. Comments please.
