Flash 5 - Loading a movie clip within previously loaded main movie

Hi,
I have been trying for a while to get this to work and I just keep getting
more frustrated.
I'm building a flash site with a number of small movies to aid in the quick
loading times.
I have a main menu movie which sits above all the other movies. I have just
recently discovered the great use of Tell Target to access movie clips
within a main movie.
The problem I'm having is that I need to have one of the info movies access
a movie clip within my menu movie, so that it can initiate a drop down box.
How to you get a movie to play a movie clip within another main movie?
