Apparently the VB6 installer will update system files if the version is the
same in Windows 95/98/ME. (Maybe in case you are reinstalling to replace
corrupt system files?) The system files "updated" are comdlg32.ocx and
vb6stkit.dll, so you can always copy then replace the existing versions
after the install.

The VB installer is also reported to be hanging some Win95/98 systems when
attempting to reboot. A forced "reset" is apparently required, after which
the setup runs correctly.
